Koeman’s contract is up in the summer, and if no new deal can be agreed Koeman is open to offers from “A” status clubs.
The 50 year old is the major contender to replace Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal when he steps down after next summers World Cup, but this is not Koeman’s only option.
He told Voetbal International, “I’m open to any challenge, but maybe I still see that in another year at Feyenoord. The fact that I have not said so, is not news to me. ”
“It seems logical that you first talk about the future and the possibilities and only then make a decision. Well, in January I’m going to table with Feyenoord and then there is clarity.”
Since taking over Feyenoord in 2011, Koeman has led the side to 2nd and 3rd place finishes, with the club well placed to challenge for the title again.
Koeman has already managed seven different clubs since starting his managerial career with Vitesse in 2000, after spells with Ajax, PSV, Benfica, and Spanish giants Valencia.
