Feyenoord wants to keep the midfielder at the club amid interest from several clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Sevilla and Real Betis.
However, VI is reporting that a second proposal has been ignored by Kokcu, and that the difference between the two parties is still quite large.
The 19-year-old’s current contract expires in 2023, but Feyenoord want to tie him down to a new bumper deal, also to ensure he could only leave for a massive fee.
Kokcu has made 35 appearances for the club this season, scoring three times and adding six assists.
VI adds that Feyenoord are looking at signing a new midfielder, such as Heerenveen’s Joey Veerman, but cannot afford the transfer fee. They are focusing at the moment on free transfers with Bryan Linssen a focus.
