Earlier this week it was reported that Huddersfield Town and Bordeaux were battling to loan the versatile defender, who has been deemed surplus to requirements in France at the moment.

However, it appears that Huddersfield Town will be the Dutchman’s destination with the Premier League side agreeing a deal with Monaco on a six-month loan with no option to buy, according to RMC.

The 23-year-old left Feyenoord for Monaco in a €15 million deal in the summer but has found playing time hard to come by. He has a contract in France until 2022.
