kuyt adKuyt spent six years in England with Liverpool after leaving Feyenoord in 2006, and went on to score 71 times in 286 appearances for the Anfield based club.

The Dutch international has been with Fenerbahce since 2012, but according to Turkish media outfit Fotospor, West Ham United are hoping to bring the player back to England in the summer.

West Ham have been short of goals so far this season, and boss Sam Allardyce may see Kuyt as a perfect option to support main striker Andy Carroll next season.

The 33-year-old has one year left on his contract in Turkey, and his advancing age could see him leave the club for a small fee, possibly even less than the €1 million Fenerbahce reportedly paid Liverpool.

A move to West Ham may scupper any return to Feyenoord for the striker, who promised to come back to De Kuip before he retired.
