The Rome based outfit are reportedly eyeing the 23 year old as a replacement for Paris Saint-Germain bound Lucas Biglia.
It remains to be seen whether Clasie will move to the Italian capital this winter especially since he is contracted to Feyenoord until 2018. However, should the move go through the midfielder will join his former team mate Stefan de Vrij at Biancocelesti.
Since making his debut in 2010 for the Rotterdam club the Dutch international has made over 100 league appearances scoring seven goals.
He’d be better suited going to Arsenal. He is good enough that pretty much any team he goes to he will make them better. He should move at the end of the season. I would like to see him and Strootman developing a good relationship in defensive midfield for the NT. It may end up being the best defensive mid partnership in world football. He is underrated. I hope Feyenoord get a lot of money for him. Don’t sell cheap!
One thing Arsenal have a lot of is midfielders. And I really don’t see him as an Arsene Wenger type of player. That said, I think Clasie is definitely good enough to play for most PL sides and would flourish. I’d be very disappointed to see him leave Feyenoord before the end of the season and, rightly or wrongly, I still feel Feyenoord should not be written off for the title this season. With that in mind, I think a hefty fee would be the only way he leaves in January.
Arseenal have a lot of mids but only flamini and wilshire as DMs. He’s better than both of them defensively. And from a DM position his passing, through balls and killer passes are as good if not better than Wilshire’s. If they played together it would allow wilshire to get forward and interplay with ramsey. Ie wilshire plays the xavi role and clasie the busquets role.
As it is, Arsenal will never win titles with the DMs they’ve got at the moment.
He is also better than Blind and I hope he gets more time in the NT before he transfers to help bump up the price. So sick of seeing the lads go cheaply.
