Lazio have completed the signing of Djavan Anderson from the now bankrupt FC Bari 1908.

The 23-year-old had his medical on Friday morning and will sign a five-year deal with the Roman club after becoming a free agent due to FC Bari’s bankruptcy.

Anderson started his career in the youth ranks of Ajax before spells with AZ Alkmaar and Cambuur. Last year the full-back moved to Bari and impressed as they reached the promotion play-offs. He made 19 appearances in Serie B, scoring twice.

Anderson turned down interest from ADO Den Haag, Udinese, Bologna, Parma and Hellas Verona to sign with Lazio. He may still depart the club this summer on loan.
