The winger joined Sunderland in 2015 but had a turbulent year in England and left to join Fenerbahce on loan in the summer. In Turkey, Lens has rediscovered his top form and he has now confirmed that he wants to remain at the club.
Speaking to beIN Sport, Lens said, “First of all it’s not up to me what my future will bring me because I have a contract for two more years in Sunderland, so let’s see what happens this summer. Fenerbahce is a really good team and I’m happy to play for Fenerbahce. I would like to play here for one more year or maybe longer than one year.”
Rumours have linked Lens with Napoli and Besiktas, but his choice is clear, “I play for Fenerbahce, hopefully I can continue to play for Fenerbahce.”
