According to The Mirror, Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Ajax centre-back Perr Schuurs.

Schuurs spent time on trial with Liverpool back in 2017 when he was with Fortuna Sittard, but chose instead to join Ajax.
The Mirror is reporting that Liverpool have maintained their interest in the 20-year-old, but that was magnified after their Champions League clash with Ajax earlier this month. Jurgen Klopp is said to have been impressed by the defender’s performance.
The English newspaper believes Liverpool could even make a move for Schuurs in January as they seek a new centre-back. Virgil van Dijk could be out until the end of the season with a knee injury.
Schuurs has a contract with Ajax until 2022. He has made 29 appearances for the club so far.
