Wolverhampton Wanderers have failed with a deadline day move for PSV Eindhoven striker Jurgen Locadia.

The English Championship side reportedly agreed a fee of around £10 million for Locadia early on Thursday and the deal was all set to go through. However, according to Sky Sports, when the forward was undergoing his medical, PSV boss Phillip Cocu decided that he didn’t want to sell Locadia and the plug was pulled on the deal.

The 23-year-old, who has been first choice striker in Eindhoven so far this season, will now remain with PSV, despite some interest from both Brighton and Hove Albion and Sunderland as well on deadline day.

Another player who will remain at PSV is Steven Bergwijn with the club rejecting a €10 million offer from Italian side Torino for the winger.
