Lodeweges is currently an assistant coach with PEC Zwolle and works with the club’s youth teams. He no longer feels he can combine his role at PEC Zwolle with the Netherlands U20’s.
He said, “I have received other responsibilities from PEC Zwolle since this season, which simply makes it impossible for me to combine. I’m very sorry for it, because I felt good at Oranje u20.”
Netherlands U20’s lost 1-0 to Italy on Tuesday. They will play their next friendly next March.
