PSV Eindhoven attacker Hirving Lozano has revealed that Barcelona was keen on signing him this summer.

Lozano joined PSV last summer and made a big impression during his first campaign in Netherlands, scoring seventeen league goals. He also starred for Mexico at the World Cup.

The winger spoke at PSV’s press conference ahead of their tie with Barcelona on Tuesday and he revealed that the Catalan giants wanted to sign him.

He said, “Yes, Barcelona certainly was interested in me this summer. They have reported to my agent.

“I still wanted to stay with PSV, but in the future, I hope that I can play here for this beautiful, big club. Then a dream would come true. “

On the Champions League clash he added, “For me, it is very special to be here. Barcelona is one of the biggest clubs in the world. For me, this is the most important game of my career at club level. It is a dream to play here. It will be very difficult for us, but I am incredibly excited about it. Barça has so many good players that it is very difficult for us, but we always have a chance. I can not wait.”
