Jos Luhukay has been presented as the new head coach of VVV-Venlo.

VVV decided to sack Hans de Koning earlier in the week with the club sitting just one point above the drop zone.

Moving swiftly, VVV have announced the appoint of Luhukay, who signs a deal until the end of the season. However, that deal could be extended in the summer based on results.

The 57-year-old Dutchman is a former player of VVV and now returns to take on a coaching role. It is his first job coaching in the Netherlands.

Luhukay is an experienced trainer having managed Paderborn, Borussia Monchengladbach, Augsburg, Hertha BSC, Stuttgart, Sheffield Wednesday and St. Pauli.

He will take charge of his first game this weekend when VVV face PEC Zwolle.
