After two convincing victories, Koeman faced his toughest test as Barcelona boss so far when Sevilla came to town on Sunday evening. Frenkie de Jong started for the hosts, with new signing Sergino Dest on the bench.
Luuk de Jong started for Sevilla and after only eight minutes the Dutch international opened the scoring, sweeping into the net after a poor header by Frenkie de Jong landed at his feet. However, it only lasted two minutes before Philippe Coutinho equalised.
The early goals turned out to be the only ones of the game as it ended in a draw. In the second half, Dest came off the bench to make his debut but he could not help Barcelona find the winner.
