According to Voetbal International, Luuk de Jong will return to PSV Eindhoven after they struck an agreement with Sevilla.

PSV Eindhoven has been looking to lure De Jong back to the Netherlands for months as they seek a replacement for Eran Zahavi. It seemed a deal was far away with Sevilla demanding a hefty fee for the Dutchman, despite the fact, that there is only one year left on his contract.

However, on Friday night the news broke that PSV has reached an agreement with Sevilla, and De Jong will undergo his medical on Saturday. Sevilla’s official website ran an article confirming the deal but quickly deleted the post.

De Jong previously played for PSV between 2014 and 2019 with the 31-year-old scoring 112 times in 204 appearances for the club. The Netherlands international spent last season on loan at Barcelona and proved his critics wrong to become a fan favourite.
