AZ Alkmaar has confirmed the return of Adam Maher with the free agent signing a deal until the end of the season.

Maher made his debut with the AZ Alkmaar first team back in 2010 at the age of seventeen and established himself as one of Netherlands brightest talents at the AFAS Stadion.

In 2013, Maher made the switch to PSV Eindhoven, where he struggled to reach his potential. A loan to Osmanlispor was followed by a move to FC Twente last season. After their relegation, Maher became a free agent and began training with AZ Alkmaar.

John van den Brom was impressed with the 25-year-old and the club has agreed to sign the midfielder on a one-year deal.

Maher could make his second debut for AZ when they host Feyenoord this Sunday.
