guiThe Rotterdam side are set to lose star striker Graziano Pelle in the summer, with the 28-year-old Italian coveted by a number of clubs after scoring 20 goals in 24 Eredivisie appearances.

Feyenoord have reportedly inquired about the possibility of signing Guidetti, who starred on a loan spell with the club back in the 2011-12 season, as Pelle’s replacement. However according to reports in Netherlands, Manchester City’s asking fee of over €2 million, coupled with high wages are set to scupper any return to De Kuip, as Feyenoord continue their struggle with money.

The Swedish international is currently on loan at Premier League side Stoke City, but has only made five appearances for the club, and is yet to score. Feyenoord are also believed to have doubts over Guidetti’s fitness, with the striker just returning from a lengthy knee injury, and they don’t believe the high investment in the player would be wise.

Instead Feyenoord will turn their attention to Vitesse striker Mike Havenaar, who is a free agent in the summer.
