Rumours that Louis Van Gaal would be taking over for sacked United manager David Moyes got grounding today when it was reported by ESPN that the Manchester giants have approached the Dutchman about taking over next season.
While no specifics were given, it is a huge move in getting the decorated manager who had seemingly all but signed a contract with Tottenham earlier this year.
Since sacking manager David Moyes after 10 months of disappointing play from United, player-manager Ryan Giggs will be in charge for the rest of this season. In a recent interview Van Gaal stated he misses daily interaction with players, which he doesn’t currently get as manager of the Netherlands national team, and has previously stated his desire to lead a top club in the English Premier League.
LVG is a great club manager. He coached AZ to the Dutch title which is his greatest achievement. And he was the one that turned Bayern Munich back into the powerhouse they are.
