The winger was heavily linked with a move to Manchester in the summer, but their interest went cold after they brought in Antony from Ajax. Leeds United and Southampton then failed to convince Gakpo to join them.
According to Forbes, Manchester United are still interested in Gakpo, who turned down attention from other Premier League sides because he was convinced the Red Devils would return with an offer for him in the future.
Gakpo has started the season in great form for club and country and is certain to be part of the World Cup Netherlands squad, should he remain fit. He has ten goals and nine assists in thirteen games for PSV, while he scored and provided an assist in the Netherlands wins over Poland and Belgium.
Gakpo still has a contract with PSV until 2026.
