Centre back Van Dijk has put in a number of impressive performances for the Scottish Champions since joining from Groningen in the Summer. The defender has been dominant at the back in the SPL, and also showed his class in the Champions League, helping Celtic beat Ajax earlier in the season.
His impressive form has begun to alert other clubs to the 22-year-old with Manchester City and Arsenal said to be interested according to the Scotsman.
Celtic paid Groningen £1.6 million for Van Dijk six months ago, but should Manchester City, or Arsenal wish to sign the Dutchman it could cost them upwards of £10 million.
The centre back has represented Netherlands at U-21 level, but has been tipped for a call up to the full squad, and has an outside chance of making next Summer’s World Cup.
Van Dijk has made 26 appearances for Celtic so far this season, scoring three goals.
