Cambuur originally signed the 20-year-old on loan until January, but his parent club are happy with his progression in the Eredivisie, and have no problem with him remaining in the Netherlands.
However the player himself has yet to agree to the prolonged deal, and that could be a problem for the club according to managing director, Gerald van den Belt.
Van den Belt told Voetbal International, “We talked about it last week with City. They are very happy with how he performs with us. They allowed him to stay longer with us, although there are still some financial snags on the deal.”
Ruznak’s contract with Manchester City expires in the summer, and Van den Belt does not rule out a move to make the players deal permanent.
He added, “We want to first make sure that Albert finishes the season with us, but if it is possible to buy him, we would like to do that,”
“He has an expiring contract at City, but that does not mean he is a free agent after this season. If we take him, we would have to pay a fee to City. Every year he spent in training at City cost 80,000 euros. ”
“Whatever it is we want clarity from Albert himself before January. Should it be that he wants to do something else, then we have to get plenty of time for a replacement. “
