The Daily Mirror are reporting that Manchester United and Juventus have traveled to Rotterdam to watch the 19-year-old, with both set to offer around £5 million to tempt Feyenoord into selling.
Vilhena is a product of the famous Feyenoord youth academy, and made his debut for the club at the age of 17 in an Eredivisie game against VVV Venlo. Since then Vilhena has become a permanent member of Ronald Koeman’s starting eleven, and has made 70 appearances, scoring eight goals.
The midfielder has represented Netherlands at every level from U-15 to U-21’s and was part of the U-17’s side that won back to back European Championships, with Vilhena scoring the winning penalty against Germany in 2012.
A hugely talented midfielder, Vilhena has all the attributes to impress in Europe’s biggest league’s, but at only 19 he is unlikely to win a place in either Juventus or Manchester United’s midfield. With Feyenoord heading for the Champions League, staying in Rotterdam should be the best option for the young talent.
