Sneijder only joined Galatasaray last January, but his name has been linked with moves to a number of clubs this summer, especially a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
The midfielder has always stated his allegiance to the Turkish club, but many felt a move may boost his chances of keeping his place in Netherlands squad for next summer’s World Cup.
Today, Bulunt Tulun, who is sporting coordinator at Galatasaray told Turkish media outlet Milliyet, that Manchester United had a bid rejected for the 29 year old.
He stated, “Sneijder received an indirect offer from Manchester United two weeks ago but it was not accepted. There are several clubs that want him but just like we can’t let go of Burak (Yilmaz) we also have to keep hold of Sneijder.”
Sneijder, who has previously played for Ajax, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan, has made 20 appearances for Galatasaray since his move in January, and scored 5 goals.
After being dropped from the Dutch national squad by coach Louis van Gaal in June, Sneijder’s early season form has seen him recalled for this the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Estonia, and Andorra.
