Manchester United are still keeping Timothy Fosu-Mensah waiting over his future at the club.

The defender is coming into the final few months of his current deal, but Manchester United have the option to extend it for another year.

Fosu-Mensah wants to remain at Old Trafford and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has indicated that he also has plans for the defender. However, the Mirror is reporting that Manchester United have still not made any contact with the Dutch international, who is waiting to discover his fate.

The versatile defender was handed his United debut by Louis van Gaal in 2016 but has not been able to hold down a regular spot at the club since. The 22-year-old then had loan spells with Crystal Palace and Fulham, but has spent most of the last year recovering from a ligament injury.

If Manchester United decide not to use their option, Fosu-Mensah will be a free agent this summer.
