Manchester United sent the Dutch international to London in order to gain experience under Frank de Boer, but after he was sacked, Fosu-Mensah has found it difficult for playing time under new boss Roy Hodgson.
The 19-year-old has made nine appearances in the Premier League this season, but hasn’t featured since the 5th of November in a defeat to Tottenham. He has been on the bench for the last four games.
According to the Sun, Manchester United are angry and want to recall Fosu-Mensah in order to loan him out to another side in January.
