According to ESPN, Manchester United are considering a move for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek this month.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly pushing for new signings this month to strengthen his squad.

The English giants missed out on striker Erling Haaland to Borussia Dortmund but are now set to turn their attentions to Van de Beek.

Sources have told ESPN that a January offer is in the making with Manchester United believing a deal is possible after Ajax failed to make the Champions League group stages.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with Real Madrid and is valued at more than €50 million by Ajax. He stated earlier this season that he would remain in Amsterdam until the summer but it remains to be seen whether his head would be turned by the chance to join Manchester United.

Hakim Ziyech is also on Manchester United’s radar but Van de Beek is their primary target.
