Fulham’s talks to send Timothy Fosu-Mensah back to Manchester United has stalled with his parent club unwilling to cooperate.

The Dutch international joined Fulham on loan in the summer but has only made eight appearances for the club. At the weekend, boss Claudio Ranieri confirmed that Fosu-Mensah could return to Manchester United so the club can sign another defender on loan.

However, the Sun are reporting that Manchester United are unwilling to cooperate with Fulham and they want Fosu-Mensah to remain at the London club until the end of the season.

A source from United reportedly told the Sun that Fosu-Mensah “Should learn to deal with adversity and fight for his place.”

The 21-year-old is reportedly unhappy with his situation and wants the loan deal to be cut short so that he can move elsewhere.

At the moment there is an impasse from all parties.
