Ajax needed a victory to close the gap on leaders PSV Eindhoven and that’s exactly what they got as they eased to a 3-0 win. They remain two points behind AZ in second and seven off of top spot,

Keizer said, ”We are starting to play better football. We played in such a concentrated manner and gave so little away against a PSV Eindhoven side that have only lost once in 14 games.

”It was a great performance and we dominated PSV Eindhoven today. This result gives us a lot of satisfaction.

”There was also a good atmosphere in the stadium. Our fans got behind us and we needed that and they helped to push us on.

”We took our chances today. You must not forget that we have created the most chances in the Eredivisie this season and we have had the most shots on goal. It’s just that at the start of the season we dropped too many points.

”We had to take the game to PSV Eindhoven today. I am really happy that we have won. This result is testament to how hard with have all worked together and how far with have come since July.

”PSV Eindhoven are still 7 points ahead and have their destiny in their own hands. But today is a good step forward for us. ”
