Ajax go into the game ten points behind their rivals and know a victory is needed if they are to maintain a serious title challenge.

Keizer said, ”Of course the home match against PSV Eindhoven is a very important match. If you are 10 points behind then you know that we must beat them at home in the ArenA/

”We must remain positive and we play to win against PSV Eindhoven.

”In the past few weeks we have had young players in our starting lineup and we are aware that as a team we have been too inconsistent and we must improve.

”Young players can learn very quickly and if you look where we were at the start of the season you can see the progression which has been made since then by the young players in our first team squad.

”In our previous match against FC Twente we let the game slip through our fingers and we must learn to see out matches and we have spoken about this in training this week.

”PSV Eindhoven are a compact team that are good on the counter-attack whereas we want to dominate teams and give no chances away.”

After the draw with Twente last week, Keizer has come under some criticism, but he has faith in his ability as a coach, ”As far as I am aware I can accept criticism. Everybody can say what they want here in the Netherlands. However, I am aware of my ability.”

On potential transfer business in January, Keizer added, ”I received information on potential transfer targets and I have watched them play but the final decisions rest with sporting director Marc Overmars.”
