Martin Jol has resigned from his position as manager of Egyptian club Al-Ahly after only 6 months.

The 60 year old former manager of Ajax , Tottenham Hotspur and Hamburger SV had another year to run on his current contract but has decided to depart.
Al-Ahly stated on their website that they have accepted his resignation.
During his tenure Al-Ahly became champions of Egypt in the 2015/2016 season. Martin Jol also had a 75 percent win rate winning 12 of his 16 games in charge.
