AZ Alkmaar will be without Bruno Martins Indi for the rest of 2020 after the centre-back required cheekbone surgery.

Martins Indi had to come off after being kicked in the face against HNK Rijeka in the Europa League on Thursday.

AZ has confirmed that Martins Indi required cheekbone surgery and he will now miss the rest of the club’s games in 2020.

AZ face Twente on Sunday and have another three games after that before the end of the year.
