STAFFThe 24-year-old is not in the plans of Porto coach Nuno Espírito Santo for this season and had been linked with a move to Liverpool earlier in the summer. However, it appears it is Stoke City that will bring the versatile defender to the Premier League with Voetbal International reporting that a loan deal has been agreed until the end of the season.

The left-back, who can also play in the centre of defence, started his career with Feyenoord but departed Rotterdam for Portugal in 2014. Martins-Indi has racked up 71 appearances for Porto in the last two seasons.

Martins-Indi will join up with fellow Dutchmen Erik Pieters and Ibrahim Afellay at Stoke and will hope to win his place back in the National team. He hasn’t featured for the Oranje since being sent off against Iceland in a 1-0 defeat last year.
