Vitesse Arnhem has their second win of the campaign after a Tim Matavz double downed PEC Zwolle 2-0.

The away side went into the game looking for their first win in four games and in the 26th minute, Vitesse took the lead with Tim Matavz heading in. There was a question of offside but after consultation with VAR, the goal stood.

Before the break it was 2-0 with Younes Namli’s awful backpass latched on by Matavz who finished excellently for his fourth goal of the campaign.

Apart from two Vito van Crooij efforts, PEC Zwolle were poor in the first half and at the break, John van ‘t Schip made changes with Stanley Elbers replacing Namli and Sepp van den Berg going off for Gianluca Scamacca.

The changes helped with PEC Zwolle far more threatening in the second half but Van Duinen and Van Crooij missed good chances, with the former hitting the bar late on.

Vitesse saw out the game and now sit sixth while PEC Zwolle are 16th.
