Last month, Everton boss Ronald Koeman confirmed his interest in signing the out of favour winger in January, and according to the Manchester Evening news a deal is close to take Memphis to Merseyside. The report states that the forward is close to agreeing terms on a permanent deal, not a loan.
Memphis has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho, making just a single start for Manchester United this season, while he has been left out of the squad for the clubs last four league matches.
Other reports in England on Friday stated that Tottenham Hotspur will battle Everton for the 22-year-old, while Spartak Moscow, Roma, AC Milan and Fenerbahce have all been linked with the former PSV star.
