The Dutchman missed Lyon’s win over Roma on Thursday but returned to the starting line-up for the home tie against Toulouse on Sunday.
Memphis had a quiet first half as Christophe Jallet opened the scoring for the hosts but in the second half he exploded into life. Memphis played a part as Maxwell Cornet made it 2-0 and the attacker then got himself on the scoresheet with a shot from an acute angle on 53 minutes.
Memphis then missed a great chance before he stunned the crowd with a fantastic long-range goal. After receiving the ball just inside the Toulouse half, Memphis spinned away from his marker before firing the ball over the despairing Anthony Lopes and into the net.
