The Dutch international went into the game in terrific form, netting six goals and providing five assists in his last five league games.

After 40 minutes against Nantes, Memphis, who was once again playing through the middle, opened the scoring with a fine strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

In the second half, Memphis turned provider, setting up Bertrand Traore to seal the victory, which moves Lyon up to second spot and two points ahead of Monaco, who play later on Saturday.

Memphis has now scored 16 goals and contributed 12 assists in 33 ligue 1 matches this season.
