memphis man utd errAfter guiding PSV to the title last season, Memphis left to join Manchester United in a £25 million deal which was met with much excitement from the clubs fans.

However, the 22-year-old has failed to replicate the form he showed last season and has spent most of the season sitting on the bench. In 26 Premier League appearances, Memphis has only managed to register two goals and a single assist.

Now ‘The Mirror’ are reporting that Louis van Gaal has granted the club permission to sell Memphis this summer, even if it means losing most of the transfer fee they paid for him. This news comes in the same week that a report stated Memphis was to hold showdown talks with Manchester United over his future.

The Mirror article should be taken with a grain of salt but there is no doubt that Memphis has had a terrible first season at Old Trafford and may need to leave if he is to regain the form which earned him comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo.
