Memphis Depay put on a show as Lyon made it two wins out of two in Ligue 1 with a comfortable 6-0 victory over Angers.

The Netherlands international scored in last weekends win over Monaco and his confidence was clearly high on Friday night.

With the score already at 2-0 through Houssem Aouar and Moussa Dembele, Memphis added a third in the 42nd minute with a low drive past the goalkeeper.

Three minutes into the second half, Memphis latched onto a clever ball by Aouar before slotting in his second and Lyon’s fourth.

The Dutchman then set up Dembele to make it 5-0 before twisting in turning past an Angers defender to assist Jean Lucas, who netted the sixth.

After two Ligue 1 games, Memphis is already on three goals and two assists. His form will be greatly received by Ronald Koeman, who will soon name his squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers in September.
