AZ Alkmaar have confirmed that midfielder Fredrik Midtsjø has been given permission to hold talks with Galatasaray.

The 28-year-old is on his way to Istanbul to complete his medical and sign his contract with Galatasaray, who will pay AZ a fee of €3.5 million.
Midtsjø joined AZ Alkmaar in 2017 from Rosenborg and has went on to make 195 appearances for the club. The Norwegian international was a key player under Arne Slot and Pascal Jansen, but has now been allowed to depart.
The midfielder will be tasked with helping Galatasaray reach the top of the table once again after they finished 13th last season.
