Peeters started out in the PSV academy but left for Ajax in 2011 before he was plucked by Real Madrid in December 2014. However, Peeters development in Spain has been hampered by injury.
The 18-year-old’s contract with Real Madrid ends in 2018 and Peeters father Geert has told VI that they expect to hear the clubs plans for his son in the next few weeks.
He said, “Probably we hear in the coming weeks what the club plan is with him. Extend and move up to the second team, hiring or perhaps still selling.
“Ideally Mink continues to live in Madrid and play for Real. Furthermore, all options are open, but the club is now first option.”
Should Mink decide to leave Real then there is no shortage of interest. NEC and PSV are willing to bring him back to Netherlands, while Borussia Monchengladbach and Dinamo Zagreb are interested along with several Spanish sides including Sevilla.
