The 29-year-old was named as Ajax captain at the start of the season, but the 29-year-old is now unwilling to sign a new deal and wants a new adventure abroad.
Speaking to Voetbal International, Moisander’s agent Søren Lerby said, “For both Ajax and Niklas a move this winter is best.”
“This is a great moment in his career to make the move to a top foreign competition and Ajax could then collect a transfer fee. There is interest from Germany, England and Italy. In January we are going to put it all together. ”
Moisander originally spent three years at Ajax between 2003 and 2006 but failed to make a first team appearance, moving to PEC Zwolle and then AZ Alkmaar before returning to Amsterdam in 2012.
Another player Ajax are hoping to sell in January is Tobias Sana, but the winger who’s contract also ends in the summer, is currently receiving treatment for an injury.
