Jamiro Montero has left Heracles Almelo for French Ligue 2 side FC Metz.

The Cape Verde international joined Heracles last summer from Cambuur and made a big impression in Almelo, scoring four goals in 34 appearances.

Monteiro departs for Metz, who were relegated to Ligue 2 last season, signing a three-year deal. No announcement has been made about the fee.

The midfielder told the Heracles website, “The club gave me the chance to show me in the Eredivisie. I want to thank everyone for that, I will miss the club, my teammates and the supporters and wish them well for next season.”
