On-loan Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount netted his first Eredivisie goal as Vitesse drew 1-1 with Utrecht in Arnhem.

The first half in Arnhem was a poor show with neither side going close to breaking the deadlock. The highlight came in the fourth minute as both sets of fans paid tribute to the deceased Theo Bos and David di Tommaso.

Both sides went close at the start of the second half and eventually the deadlock was broken in the 66th minute through Cyriel Dessers who tapped in Gyrano Kerk’s backpass.

Henk Fraser threw on Mason Mount as they went looking for an equaliser and the Englishman found it after only two minutes on the field. The ball fell at Mount’s feet after a scramble in the box and he fired into into the net from close range.

Luc Castaignos went close to finding a winner before the end but both sides had to settle for a point apiece. Vitesse remain third while Utrecht are tenth.
