Vitesse Arnhem came from 2-0 down to earn a point at VVV Venlo.

VVV Venlo attacked Vitesse from the start and the opening goal came in the tenth minute when Torino Hunte latched onto Moreno Rutten’s pass before placing the ball past Remko Pasveer.

It was 2-0 to the home side on 24 minutes with Pasveer unable to keep out Lennart Thy’s tame-looking strike from 25-yards out.

Vitesse struggled for a way back into the game, but just after the half-hour mark VVV gave them a helping hand when Nils Röseler turned Thomas Bruns cross into his own net.

Three minutes into the second half, Vitesse found an equaliser through Mason Mount, who surprised Lars Unnerstall with a free kick into the corner.

Vitesse then dominated possession but couldn’t turn that into clear chances, while VVV looked to counter. Towards the end they got chances to net the winner, but Ralf Seuntjens and Thy failed to find the net.

The point keeps Vitesse in 7th while VVV are 11th.
