NAC Breda made it back to back wins as they hammered a lacklustre AZ Alkmaar side 3-0 on Sunday.

hooi aThe home side started the game on top, and Anthony Lurling should have given them the lead, when he found himself in space, but his shot ended up in the arms of Esteban.

AZ’s first chance fell to midfielder Viktor Elm, but his shot went just wide of the post, while Jordy Buijs curled a free kick wide at the other end, as both teams went in at the break goalless.

Five minutes into the second half NAC took the lead, with Danny Verbeek firing a great effort into the bottom corner from 25 yards after cutting in from the right

Fifteen minutes from the end, NAC doubled their lead, with Rydell Poepon finishing into an empty net, after Elson Hooi saw his effort hit the post.

AZ Alkmaar failed to find a way back into the game, and Elson Hooi settled the win, as he ran from his own half with the ball before calmly finishing into the corner to make it 3-0 in injury time.

NAC Breda continue to move away from the bottom three, while AZ Alkmaar were clearly hungover from their win in the Europa League on Thursday.
