Three minutes later it was 2-0 when Xandro Schenk’s attempted clearance only allowed Jordy Buijs to steam in on goal, and finish smartly into the net.

Things got even worse for the visitors after 35 minutes, when a long ball was again not cleared, and Jeffrey Sarpong hit an excellent first time drive into the bottom corner.

Just before half time, Poepon grabbed his second and NAC’s 4th as his shot found the corner, just out of Eloy Room’s reach.

The second half wasn’t as action packed as the first, with Go Ahead Eagles unable to really test Jelle ten Rouwelaar in the home goal.

In the final minute, Stipe Perica was played through one on one by Sarpong, and the on loan forward made no mistake, by finishing in off the post to complete the 5-0 rout.

NAC Breda moved up to ninth with the win, and are now only four points off league leaders FC Twente, while Go Ahead Eagles sit 12th.
