Ajax made it three wins from three after a 2-0 win over NEC Nijmegen on Sunday.

MILIK SINKWith one eye on the Europa League tie against Jablonec next Thursday, Frank de Boer made some changes to his eleven for the first time this season with Lasse Schone and Ricardo van Rhijn coming in for Kenny Tete and Daley Sinkgraven.

The changes freshened up Ajax, and they dominated the first half in Nijmegen, with Davy Klaassen coming close before Arkaduisz Milik was denied by the post. Three minutes into the second half the opening goal did come as NEC goalkeeper Hannes Halldórsson misjudged Milik’s shot from outside the box, and it nestled in the back of the net.

NEC barely threatened the Ajax goal and just before the end of the game Rens van Eijden slid the ball into his own net from Daley Sinkgraven’s cross to seal the win for Ajax.

The Amsterdam club keep up their good start to the season, and now sit four points ahead of champions PSV.
