Ten man NEC Nijmegen missed the chance to move out of the relegation zone as they could only draw 1-1 with NAC Breda.

On 17 minutes NAC Breda took the lead against the run of play with Rydell Poepon firing an unstoppable shot into the top corner from just outside the box.
The lead did not last long as NEC Nijmegen found an equaliser on 23 minutes as a free-kick was volleyed into the net by defender Rens van Eijden.
Before half time NEC came close to taking the lead, but Jakob Jantscher’s effort came back off the woodwork. NAC Breda keeper Jelle ten Rouwelaar also denied NEC the lead in the second period, as he made a great stop to deny Jahanbakhsh.
With 13 minutes to go NEC were reduced to ten men as Tobias Haitz was shown his second yellow card.Despite the extra man NAC failed to find the winning goal, and the game ended 1-1.
The draw isnt enough to lift NEC out of the relegation zone, and they remain 17th, while NAC sit 11th.
