Three goals in fifteen second half minutes inspired NEC Nijmegen to a 4-1 win over ADO Den Haag in the Goffertstadion.

nec adoADO Den Haag went into the game without a win in their last five matches, and after only 20 seconds they found themselves behind once again as Aaron Meijers diverted Anthony Limbombe’s cross into his own net.

NEC dominated after the goal and should have netted a second through Christian Santos, but on 21 minutes Vito Wormgoor headed in Eduoard Duplan’s corner to give ADO Den Haag an undeserved equaliser. Two minutes later ADO Den Haag nearly took the lead but after another good Duplan cross, Gianni Zuiverloon missed the target with his header.

Fifteen minutes into the second half NEC regained their lead in style as Santos sent a brilliant overhead kick past Martin Hansen. Limbombe extended the lead with fifteen minutes left before Santos sealed the win with a finish from close range after a scramble in the box.

The victory lifts NEC up to sixth while ADO Den Haag drop to 15th.
