David Neres could be called into the Brazilian national team for the first time for their friendly matches in March.

Neymar and Douglas Costa are currently out through injury, meaning Brazil coach Tite must look at other forward for their friendlies in March.

Speaking to Globo Esporte, Brazil assistant coach Cleber Xavier named Ajax winger David Neres as a potential option. He said, Vinicius Júnior is an option and the same goes for David Neres and Everton Soares from Gremio.

“We also have Richarlison. It is the last time before the Copa América that we will meet and we will try to renovate the team, so the idea is to get one or two new names in the selection.”

Neres has scored five goals and contributed 13 assists in 34 appearances for Ajax this season.
