Netherlands lost 1-0 to England but then hammered Portugal 3-0 leading to the rise in the rankings which has Oranje back in the top 20 nations in the world.
Its a step in the right direction for Netherlands, who less than a year ago were sitting in a historically low spot of 32nd. They now sit just ahead of Italy and Sweden, but behind Croatia who occupies the 18th slot.
Germany remains top with Brazil, Belgium, Portugal and Argentina completing the top five. Interestingly, Curacao are on the rise with the Dutch Carribean nation rising 11 spots from 82nd to 71st.
